Every month, we look to create a fun community to get together out on our patio at Lanai City Bar & Grill. Something new and enjoyable, serving some really good, fresh food, wine AND with some lively music in the background.
For June, we have decided to focus on the Grüner Veltliner grape variety, which is most notably being grown and produced in Austria. We thought sipping on a refreshingly dry, completely uplifting and crisp white wine like this would really set the table for the upcoming Summer months.

The Setzer family founded their winery in 1705 and have been growing and making their wines since, passed down through the generations. We love how much they appreciate and respect the land they were given and all of the ways they keep working to improve their sustainable approach with passion.
Our thoughts then for our June “Hanging out on the Patio” event are…if you are looking for a dry, lighter bodied, thirst quenching white wine, with a profile that lies between TOP wine imports such as New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Italian Pinot Grigio, we’d like to introduce you to a lighter, very uplifting style of Grüner Veltliner from Austria.
Then…to show you how diverse this wine can be with foods, we will ask Chef Christian Page to fire up the wood grill again…
Featuring a handful of Chef’s favorite bite sized renditions…to enjoy with this very unique, wonderfully refreshing Austria white “country” styled wine.
