Our thoughts for July are to feature an off dry, remarkably light & ethereal rosé wine–Elvio Tintero Rosato. This very style of PINK wine is commonly served at cafés and bistros, in cool, sweating carafes, along the Mediterranean basin this time of the year. They are all about quenching their thirst, whetting the palate, washing the food down the gullet; Something we aspire to recreate.
For me, it is one of the most meaningful wine discoveries in recent times. It really is a perfect Summer wine. It is a perfect wine to sip while grilling AND with grilled foods, especially those that Chef Christian has in mind for the evening.
So…intentionally light in color…feather light in body…nuanced…airy…FIZZY.
This wine family has been doing this since 1900…and doing it well.
