We created this theme night for the neighborhood to come together over some really good food off the grill, some fun with friends, and completely enjoyable food-friendly wine… and listen to some good music. We are, after all, a neighborhood restaurant, right?
Get ready for Thursday, March 30th! Another take on enjoying wine & food. We ask Chef Christian Page to fire up the wood grill again, this time, wood grilled pizzas with some locally inspired, wine friendly toppings.
What is the beverage of choice? 2021 Stolpman “Love You Bunches”
Yup, delicious, lovely, fresh, youthful “country” styled Sangiovese red wine from Santa Barbara, California. Sangiovese is, FYI, one of the world’s most respected grape varieties—those most notable are from Italy (think Chianti & Brunello di Montalcino of Tuscany). It took us a long time to understand this grape. We found it often rugged, rough, tannic and an acquired taste. The true nobility we later found and going forward, was how incredibly food friendly this grape variety could be…especially when it is made like this…a fun, happy wine…served slightly chilled with foods like pizza.
On Thursday, March 30th, we look to create some of the Tuscan magic by serving slices of a variety of wood grilled LCBG pizzas with some fresh, joyous, delicious and gulpable Sangiovese we have specially brought in for PATIO NIGHT… which we will serve slightly chilled & totally mood setting and wonderfully gulpable & uplifting.
